West Chester University’s Trilovati Flute Ensemble is a large group open to all WCU flutists. The ensemble programs works from the standard flute choir repertoire as well as pieces by contemporary composers. Members of the ensemble have the opportunity to play the piccolo, alto flute, bass flute and contrabass flute and gain experience working on tone quality, technique, ensemble blending and intonation. They also perform in smaller chamber groups - flute duos, trios, and quartets. The ensemble rehearses weekly and performs several times a semester including at the annual Flute Fair, a one-day event they co-sponsor with the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia.
