Evelyn McCarty comes from Corpus Christi, Texas, where she is active as principal oboist in the Corpus Christi Symphony and as a private oboe teacher in that area. She graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music and the University of Texas, and received her performance doctorate from Northwestern University. Her principal oboe teachers have been James Desiato, Anton Maly, John de Lancie, and Ray Still.

Prior to moving to Corpus Christi, she played in the Austin, San Antonio, and North Carolina Symphony Orchestras, the American Wind Symphony, and the New Hampshire Music Festival. Her teaching experience includes a professorship in oboe at Del Mar College and numerous summers at the National Music Camp in Interlochen, Michigan.

Imelda Delgado has pursued a musical duality in teaching and performing, both as soloist and in chamber music performances. She has concertized in the United States, Mexico, and England, where the London Daily Telegraph described her as a “colourful artist with an infectious enthusiasm.” Ms. Delgado has a special affinity for Russian and South American piano music. She is a particularly enthusiastic fan and interpreter of Alberto Ginastera’s solo piano music. Upon hearing her perform his American Preludes and his first Piano Sonata, Mr. Ginastera said that she “is a pianist of high artist rank, and also possesses a transcendental technique. The performances of my works were always faithful to my style….” Ms. Delgado has performed with cellists Aurura Natola Ginastera and Ralph Kirshbaum. She is the pianist in the Aguilar/Delgado Flute and Piano Duo. Their compact disc “From Juon to Jazz” is available on the Protone Label. Her music mentors are her father, Narciso Delgado, whose Mexican ballads were the first music she heard, and Sidney Foster, her beloved teacher from her student years at Indiana University.
