Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida
It all started in September, 2010 as the dream of a few men who wanted to make high quality music, encourage positive social change and make the world a better place for LGBTQ people. In just eight years the Chorus has grown to over 120 men, becoming the largest gay men’s chorus in the Southeast. The Chorus has also sold out every concert and has put into practice its commitment - Inspiring Through Song.

The Chorus has become one of the region’s largest and most successful community-based choruses celebrated for outstanding musicianship, creative programming, and community outreach. Each year GMCSF reaches over 12,000 audience members with its messages of love and inclusion. The organization is dedicated to expanding that outreach in the next two years. The Chorus has recently performed at the Wold Performing Arts Center at Lynn University as well as to a sold out house at Bailey Hall at Broward College with special guest artist, Ann Hampton Callaway. The GMCSF performed at the GALA Music Festival in 2012 and 2016. In 2013 PBS station WLRN filmed and presented to the community Heaven and Nature Sing, the Chorus’s sold-out holiday concert.
The Chorus has also been determined to give back to the community that has supported and nurtured its success and growth during these seven years by providing over two-thousand teddy bears to the Broward County Hospitals Pediatric Auxiliary each year; chaperoning at a gay youth prom; and walking and raising money for the AIDS walk. The Chorus has also volunteered bowling for Poverello, a local charityproviding food and clothing to those living with HIV/AIDS, collecting plastic caps and lids for Caps of Love to provide wheelchairs to disabled children in addition to donating time and talent to a host of other charitable endeavors in our community.
