Walt Nielsen and Korbi Adams played an impromptu concert in the Washington State Capitol Building in July 2007, and they've been performing together ever since as The Capitol Clarinets Duo, whose mission is bringing music to populations in need and giving back to their Phoenix community. Walt and Korbi perform for hospice patients, retirement homes, and churches, as well as in community orchestras and freelance ensembles. Walt (M.M. Clarinet Performance from Arizona State University, where he studied with Jorge Montilla) is a patent attorney in the areas of computers and electronics. Korbi (B.A. Music, Nonprofit Management from ASU, where she studied with Robert Spring) works in Education Outreach at Childsplay, Arizona's Professional Theatre for Young Audiences, managing and teaching drama integration programs in schools throughout Arizona.
